The Last Times and Revelation of Elder Gregory of Dokhiarsky in the documentary “Where Are You, Adam?”

” And there was war in heaven:
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon,
“and the dragon and his angels fought against them”
Revelation 12: 7
In our dynamic 21st century, people have “materialized in virtual space” so much that for the most part they have stopped paying attention to the end of their own physical lives. What is this, a personal choice of modern man or the realization of someone’s well-thought-out strategy to destroy Humanity?

Tsar Herod, Caligula, Attila, Genghis Khan, Dracula, Ivan the Terrible, Robespierre, Mehmed Talaat-Pasha, Lenin, Mussolini, Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pinochet – this not-so-large list of tyrants contains behind each name millions of innocently murdered and tortured people. If you carefully study the biographies of these historical figures, you will understand that they enjoyed the support of the “clergy” and the majority of the population of their countries. As the wise men said: “Every people is worthy of its Ruler.”

“Egoist” – translated from Latin – I am (or I exist), a seemingly harmless concept of human existence, striving for the development of personality and the improvement of life. But the best is the enemy of the good, and this phrase accurately describes the aspiration of a whole army of “enterprising people” (the dragon and his angels) to pervert human nature and “make money” on human selfishness.
Personal growth training, accessible media space, free virtual worlds like social networks, are perfect tools for distorting the picture of the world, destroying the adequate assessment of reality and replacing the meaning of life of each individual person. There is something evil, demonic in this, don’t you think?

This is the “fertile soil” on which bloody dictators are bred, often associated with the Devil (dragon) himself.
And no coincidence. While the progressive part of humanity is entangled in social networks and lives for “likes in virtual reality”, in real life, maniac dictators, using unlimited financial resources and lack of control over power, arm themselves with deadly weapons for the most brutal murders of ordinary people and redistribution of world domination.

If anyone hasn’t understood yet, a “metaphysical war” has been declared against humanity, and this is not just the annexation of earthly territory in favor of the strongest, but a war between good and evil, between angels and demons on the territory of our soul.
The epigraph to this article is a quote from the Book of Revelation by John the Theologian, which is also called the Apocalypse (translated from Greek – new knowledge, revelation, but in modern times this word has acquired the meaning – The End of the World).

By carefully reading the text of this book, we can understand that death comes to a person twice. Physical – that is, the death of the body, and at the Second Coming – spiritual, if in the soul, which stands before God’s judgment, the personal Book of Life turns out to be empty.

Accordingly, a person of any religion has 2 options.
The first is to humble himself, repent, and return to reality for the physical and spiritual struggle against evil through works of mercy. For this he will be justified before God’s judgment and after the Second Coming he will find his body and go to Paradise.

The second – to do nothing, to proudly wait for the bomb to fall on his house and die ingloriously. People who have chosen the second option – will have an unpleasant surprise, after physical death they will have to die a second time, but much more terribly, spiritually – without any help from others, but from shame realizing their own emptiness, uselessness and abomination.

The first option seems not so complicated, we just need to do a little charity, what kind? Can a person independently understand whether he is doing a good deed or not? While he thinks, he may find himself in the catchphrase of the 17th century English preacher George Herbert: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” Time is precious.

So that we do not discuss this topic for long, and the reader does not have to reread hundreds of books to look for the answer to the works of mercy, I would like to cite as an example the words of an Athonite elder, Abbot Gregory (Zumis), who died in 2018 and was our contemporary: «The light (guide) for the monks is the angels, and the light for the laity is the monks. Do everything like me.»

For more than 40 years, Abbot Gregory was the abbot of the Dohiar Monastery, whose heavenly patron is the Archangel Michael – the Commander-in-Chief of the Heavenly Army, and in the words of Saint John the Theologian in the Book of Revelation, who constantly wages battle with the dragon and his angels to save and preserve Man.

Shortly before his death, Elder Gregory blessed Protodeacon Alexander Pliska of the Ioninsky Monastery in Kiev to show humanity the documentary film about life in the Dokhiar Monastery. “Where are you, Adam?” – for four years, the filming was led by Alexander Zaporoshchenko, a friend of Father Alexander, a pilgrim, a Ukrainian documentary cameraman from the city of Mariupol. Together, the two edited the collected material for themselves, as a keepsake, and did not even hope for a blessing to show it to strangers. But once, the Geronda asked him to show him what they had recorded all these years. After seeing the film, he gave a blessing to show it to people around the world.

For many who knew the abbot of Dohiar, the most ascetic monastery on Mount Athos, this blessing became a revelation. Knowing the stern character of the Elder, the strict observance of the ancient monastic charter of the “secrets” of the monastery, only a few years later, in the light of today’s events, it became clear that Geronda Gregory wanted to warn humanity and teach us how to save ourselves from evil and correctly fill out our personal Book of Life.

“Show it to everyone, believers and non-believers, Catholics and Buddhists, and even show it to the Satanist sectarians. That’s what the Elder wanted.” – this is what the film’s producer, Father Alexander Pliska, told us in one of our phone conversations. At the time, this phrase seemed strange, but today it sounds more than relevant. The film has already been translated into almost all languages of the world, and for two years now, despite the pandemic, Father Alexander, courageously overcoming difficulties and fighting objections, has been showing it in more than 10 countries.
And according to the sincere and grateful responses of people, completely different in nationality, language and religion, it can be confidently said that Humanity will again win this “metaphysical” war. We all have a chance to kill the Dragon! How? – you will find all the answers in the Holy Scriptures, in the books about the lives of thousands of saints – Equal-to-the-Apostles, Venerables, Martyrs, as well as righteous Athonite elders.
The revelation of one of them, the guidance of Abbot Grigory Dokhiarsky, answering all the disturbing questions, can be seen in the documentary film “Where Are You, Adam?” .
